While Christmas shopping may not be your little ones’ favorite thing to do for the holidays, Crown Center offers plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained. It’s a win-win – the family has fun as mom and dad cross things off their holiday gift lists.
Turn it into a game… each time you buy something, take a break to do something fun!
Find a gift for Grandpa? | Stop to listen to live holiday music from community performers in the Crown Center Shops atrium.
Cross off that Secret Santa surprise? | Visit the Countdown to Christmas display on Level 1 and find out how many days, hours, and minutes until Christmas.
See something perfect for one of the kids? | Send them with another adult to play on the over-sized wooden toys beneath the Mayor’s Christmas Tree, while you stealthily buy the gift and pack it in the car.
You get the idea!
Find Unique Stocking Stuffers at Crown Center
The merchants of Crown Center make it easy to find great stocking stuffers for everyone on your list – just look for the special Christmas stocking hung in the window of participating shops. Through Dec. 24, these shops will have displays of stocking stuffer ideas for the whole family in a wide range of prices. See dozens of Stocking Stuffer suggestions at CrownCenterChristmas.com.
And to make it sweeter, Crown Center is giving away a basket full of stocking stuffers! (If you win, you can use the items to fill stockings, or keep them for yourself.) Read the Official Rules for the Stocking Stuffers 2023 Giveaway Contest and then register for a chance to win.
Outdoor Christmas Shopping on Crown Center Square
New this year, the 13th Annual Holiday Swing presented by The Strawberry Swing, provides opportunities to shop from over 75 local makers and creators. Each weekend through Dec. 17, booths will be set up outside on Crown Center Square around the 100-foot-tall Mayor’s Christmas Tree and Crown Center Ice Terrace.
Shop for locally made gifts while you watch the ice skaters and enjoy the beautiful holiday setting. You can take a break to warm up at Cocoa and Campfires featuring cocoa or mulled wine by the fire pits. Admission is FREE; find the details and dates online.
Sit Down with Santa Claus
You can easily make a full day of holiday shopping and family activities by adding in ice skating at Crown Center Ice Terrace, a holiday show at The Coterie Theatre, or a visit with Santa Claus.
Santa’s Gingerbread Station is a train-themed area on Level 1 of the Crown Center Shops where kids and families can share wish lists and have photos taken with Santa. A photographer is available onsite to take photos for a fee, or you may take your own. Santa will be at Crown Center every day during shopping hours, up until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Admission is FREE.
When it’s time to refuel, stop by one of Crown Center’s many dining options. Whether you feel like BBQ, tacos, pizza, or burgers delivered by train, there’s something to satisfy every craving.
