Broadway’s Smash Hit Chicago Returns to Kansas City
Kansas City, MO – Broadway fans, rejoice! One of Broadway’s most beloved musicals, Chicago, is coming to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts from January 7–12, 2025, as part of the 2024–2025 PNC Broadway in Kansas City series.
Here at Macaroni KID Kansas City, we’re big fans of Broadway in KC’s incredible lineup, and we couldn’t be more excited to see Chicago take the stage! With its unforgettable songs, dazzling choreography, and a story that’s both timeless and thrilling, this show is sure to deliver an electrifying experience for all.

About the Show:
Set amidst the glitz and decadence of the 1920s, Chicago follows the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife-turned-nightclub dancer who murders her lover in a crime of passion. With the help of a slick lawyer, she spins her crime into a media spectacle, all while competing for the spotlight with her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly.
Featuring iconic songs like “All That Jazz” and “Cell Block Tango,” and choreography inspired by the legendary Bob Fosse, Chicago has earned its place as the longest-running American musical in Broadway history.
The cast for this production includes Ellie Roddy as Roxie Hart, Taylor Lane as Velma Kelly, and Connor Sullivan as Billy Flynn, with direction by David Hyslop and choreography by Gregory Butler.
